Wellness and Mental Health

For more than four decades, Woman to Woman has supported both female victims of intimate partner violence, and the children growing up in its shadow who were harmed directly or indirectly. The foundation operates a shelter that provides protection and comprehensive care for families who arrive to its doors. Within the shelter, there is also an educational-therapeutic children’s center addressing the needs of the children of the women staying there.

Alongside the shelter, Woman to Woman runs a unique system of 18 transitional apartments, with branches in Jerusalem and the Shfela region, serving as a comprehensive continuation program for women after their stay in the shelter. The organization also operates a legal aid bureau and a community rehabilitation program for women leaving both the shelter and the transitional apartments.

Each year, the Woman to Woman shelter assists approximately 90 families, with the goal of enabling them to build lives of safety and dignity while also working to raise public awareness of the domestic violence phenomenon and its impact on families and society.

Anatta Foundation is proud to have supported Woman to Woman since 2016. Anatta’s contribution focuses on the children’s center activities and on educational-therapeutic programs for children in the transitional apartments. Thanks to this support, the children are guided by a professional team throughout their stay in the shelter or apartment. Within this framework, they receive personal attention and support in all areas relevant to their situation: physical and emotional care, academic assistance, a listening ear, and a sense of comfort and safety. This environment creates a space in which they can be children—sometimes for the first time in their lives—to play, laugh, cry, feel anger, and dream about the future.
