The Glocal Program for International Development at the Hebrew University is an international master’s program focused on community development studies. The program translates academic research and theoretical knowledge into practical understanding and applied work, through an approach that empowers underserved communities around the world to thrive and succeed.

The program focuses on international development from a local perspective, equipping students with the tools and knowledge to create sustainable solutions together with local communities. It includes a four-month practical internship with organizations supporting underserved communities in Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, as well as in Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The program also offers specialization tracks in gender and migration, in addition to a research track. Graduates go on to join a wide range of organizations and companies in the fields of community development and international development in Israel and around the world.

Anatta Foundation has supported the Glocal Program since 2014 through scholarships for African students, internship support grants for placements with organizations in Africa, funding for research related to the continent, and support for the program’s general activities.
