Zumu is a community-based mobile museum that travels throughout Israel, creating contemporary art exhibitions developed and curated together with local communities. The Museum on the Move is grounded in the belief that art is an essential tool for building a more open, tolerant, and inclusive society, and that every person—regardless of place or circumstance—deserves access to high-quality art and culture

Zumu seeks to broaden exposure to art in Israel beyond major urban centers, making contemporary creative work accessible to the country's geographic and social periphery. In each city in which it operates, Zumu collaborates with the municipality, educational institutions, and the local community, establishing exhibitions in abandoned or underutilized public spaces

These exhibitions feature works by established artists alongside emerging creators, and include workshops, guided tours, and cultural events for all ages—free of charge and open to the public.

At the conclusion of each exhibition, Zumu maintains an ongoing relationship with the host community and supports local artistic initiatives, driven by a commitment to leaving behind an active and sustainable cultural infrastructure

Anatta Foundation has supported Zumu since 2019. Thanks to this support, Zumu is able to host all students enrolled in the participating city’s schools for guided visits and experiential creative workshops, providing children and young people with direct and meaningful encounters with the worlds of art and culture
