Zikaron BaSalon is a social initiative that became a formal nonprofit organization in 2018. It offers a meaningful and intimate way to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day—within the home, among family members, friends, and community. The initiative creates a rare opportunity for individuals to take a personal, simple, and deeply meaningful part in Holocaust remembrance, while also participating in a broader national and communal effort to preserve memory and shape our people's shared identity.

Zikaron BaSalon gatherings bring together diverse communities across Israeli and Jewish society—youth and senior citizens, new immigrants and longtime residents, secular, religious, and ultra-Orthodox participants, Arabs and Jews, people with disabilities, and at-risk youth—to create open, vulnerable, and bonding dialogue

The organization operates a large volunteer network in Israel and around the world, helping connect hosts, guests, and testimony speakers. Through a professional team and a dedicated technological platform, the organization works to ensure that this new tradition continues to grow and expand, so that the memory of the Holocaust remains alive, present, and relevant—today and for generations to come. Over the past decade, the initiative has become an integral part of the fabric of Holocaust remembrance and commemoration, with more than two million people in Israel and worldwide choosing each year to host or participate in Zikaron BaSalon gatherings

Anatta has supported Zikaron BaSalon since it became an official nonprofit organization in 2018.
