The Unitaf Project is a community initiative operating since 2004 with the goal of advancing the rights of young children who lack civil status in Israel through the establishment and operation of high-quality educational frameworks. Thanks to this work, more than 1,500 young children benefit from safe, high-quality care and education in family daycare homes, childcare centers, and after-school programs. These frameworks provide comprehensive psycho-social support for both children and their parents, helping families navigate the challenges associated with refugee status and lack of legal standing.

The programs are managed by women from refugee communities who receive professional training and ongoing guidance from the Unitaf team, including social workers and educational mentors. In addition to providing a warm and nurturing environment, the project operates an educational system designed to give children an equal start alongside their Israeli peers.

Anatta Foundation has been a significant partner of Unitaf since 2015, supporting the expansion of its social and educational services. Thanks to this support, Unitaf operates 47 educational frameworks in various models, provides social services and intervention to approximately 480 at-risk families, supports parental participation in committees and empowerment groups, and delivers early childhood education training to 130 women from refugee communities.
