The University of Haifa's Interdisciplinary Program in Early Childhood Education and Development in Developing Countries was created to train the next generation of early childhood experts from developing countries—individuals who will serve as agents of social change and help improve the lives of children around the world. The program was founded in the understanding that while early childhood education has received growing attention in the Western world, access to advanced study in this field remains highly limited for students from developing countries.

The University of Haifa, the first university in Israel to adopt the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), developed an innovative English-language curriculum that integrates academic research with educational and social practice. The program is built on collaboration with leading international experts and offers a holistic perspective on early childhood education, child development, and health.

Students come from a wide range of professional backgrounds—including education, psychology, social work, nursing, medicine, public policy, and more—and together form a multicultural community committed to generating positive social impact (“Impact for Good”).
