Migdalor is a unique pre-military preparatory program for young men and women from the margins of Israeli society, working to reduce social gaps through personal empowerment, increased self-confidence, and the realization of belonging and purpose

The program incorporates a distinctive maritime curriculum that provides participants with experiential interaction with leadership, responsibility, and teamwork, alongside emotional support and personal guidance. Even after the preparatory year concludes, the program continues to accompany graduates throughout their military service, academic journeys, and transition into civilian life

Migdalor’s educational approach focuses on developing social responsibility, leadership skills, and creative and collaborative problem-solving. Intensive physical and emotional field work is essential to the empowerment process, enabling participants to build personal resilience and practical life skills

The program is tuition-free, ensuring equal opportunity for young people regardless of socio-economic background, including those initially exempt from military service. With support and through the development process during the year, many choose to revoke that exemption and enlist in the IDF or national service. More than 95% of graduates go on to serve, the majority in combat roles, and approximately 36% continue into command and officer positions
